That would make the championship ONLY for the conference champions

Only 4 teams, and any independent not allowed. I wonder if Notre Dame would fight this in court.

Also, if the power 4 moved from the NCAA and made their rules at the beginning, that would be interesting too. That would not be anticompetitive.

ND then could remain in the NCAA with the UCONN East Carolina, and their peers all leave. (and that would also mean the schools leaving would not play NCAA teams
